Pharmacy Technician Roles and Responsibilities:

• Preparing and Dispensing Medications: Accurately fill prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist, including counting, measuring, and compounding medications.
• Inventory Management: Replenish stock levels, manage inventory, and ensure medications and supplies are adequately stocked and organized.
• Customer Service: Assist customers with their questions and concerns, provide information on over-the-counter medications, and ensure a positive customer experience.
• Insurance Coordination: Process insurance claims, handle billing inquiries, and resolve issues related to coverage and payment discrepancies.
• Compliance: Adhere to all legal regulations and company policies regarding pharmacy operations, medication dispensing, and patient privacy.
• Technical Support: Utilize pharmacy information systems to manage patient data, prescription processing, and record keeping.
• Maintaining the Pharmacy: Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and the pharmacy to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
• Communication: Answer and forward calls, take messages, and ensure effective communication within the pharmacy team and with customers.

Requirements:

• 2 years experience as a licensed pharmacy technician
• References from previous employers
• Available to work 2 Saturdays each month. Saturday hours 11am to 4pm
• Expertise with BestRx is required
