Friendship Manor is a great place to work! We're a faith-based, non-profit, senior living community and we've been a big part of the Quad Cities since 1979.
We are currently looking for a weekend concierge. The primary purpose of your job is to provide exceptional customer service to the residents in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern Friendship Manor to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
This position is every other weekend from 8 : 00AM to 4 : 30PM and some additional shifts as needed.
- Greet visitors and residents, determine their needs and direct them to the proper person, office or department.
- Make appointments and give routine instructions to residents for use of the Friendship Manor transportation services.
- Accept meal reservations from residents, guests and employees for the noon and evening meals and prepare a meal count for the Dietary Department.
- Accepts and prepares Maintenance work orders from residents and employees.
- Answer the telephone, determine the nature of the call and direct the caller to the appropriate individual or department.
- Receive request from within Friendship Manor and locate personnel through the radio or transfer to voice mail.
- Take reservations and maintain a reservation book for guest apartments.
- Maintain CONFIDENTIALITY of all resident care information to assure that resident rights are protected.
- Assure that resident’s rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individually, privacy, property and civil rights are followed.
- Observe Universal Precautions policies and procedures.
Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout Friendship Manor.
Requirements :
Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma. Must be knowledgeable of administrative practices, procedures and guidelines and have at least six months of experience in a clerical / receptionist position.
Must be able make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions and to remain calm during emergency situations.
Must be able to deal tactfully and professionally with residents, personnel, family members, visitors and the general public.
