About Frontera Health and The Lead Credentialing Specialist Role:

Frontera Health is committed to providing exceptional ABA healthcare services to children and families in New Mexico and Colorado. The Lead Credentialing Specialist will play a crucial role in facilitating the certification process for professionals in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), ensuring that all new hires meet the necessary requirements and standards to be able to provide services.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and coordinates the credentialing process for Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification, ensuring that new hires are able to provide services in the states we operate in.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive credentialing playbook for ABA direct and telehealth services:
    • This playbook will outline a standardized credentialing process that can be easily scaled across different states.
    • The playbook will detail all crucial aspects of credentialing, including:
      • Processes: Step-by-step procedures for each stage of the credentialing process.
      • Documentation: A clear list of all required documentation for different credentialing types.
      • Timelines: Defined timelines for each stage of the process to ensure efficiency.
      • Resourcing: Identification of resources needed to complete the credentialing process effectively.
  • Ensures compliance with certification requirements and standards.
  • Maintains accurate records and databases of certified ABA professionals.
  • Provides support and guidance to applicants regarding the certification process.
  • Communicates with applicants and resolves issues related to their applications.
  • Collaborates with management to develop and refine credentialing policies and procedures.
  • Conducts quality assurance audits or reviews to ensure adherence to standards.
  • May assist in the development and implementation of credentialing policies and procedures.
  • Represents the credentialing department in meetings or discussions regarding policy changes or updates.
  • Cross-train other Clinic Operations staff to ensure credentialing SME scales across the clinical Ops team

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree is a plus.
  • 1-3 years of experience in credentialing, certification, or related administrative roles.
  • Familiarity with applied behavior analysis principles and practices.
  • Experience in reviewing documentation and ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in behavior analysis.
  • Proficient in google suite (docs, calendar, sheets)
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ABA practices and experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.

Work Schedule

  • The schedule for this position is hybrid in Las Cruces, 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday.
