Our client located in Fort Worth, Texas is in need of a Staff Accountant on a direct hire basis.

Staff Accountant Role:

The Staff Accountant will work closely with the CFO and Director of Accounting to coordinate all accounting entries and operations

Oversee property level accounting for assets owned by the Funds

Generate journal entries for the properties and ensure that all assets’ financial statements are up to date.

Classify accounts payable expenses and processing weekly payment requests.

Generate rent statements and posting rental payments to the general ledger.

Manage property level cash flow.

Create monthly Bank Reconciliations.

Prepare monthly property financial statements to be reviewed by the partners of the firm.

Assist with hiring, training and overseeing accounting interns.

Assist when needed on other accounting or finance related duties.

Staff Accountant Profile:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Previous experience in real estate accounting or property management

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

Proficiency in accounting software, AppFolio highly preferred

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
