One of our wonderful partners in Rochester, NY is looking for their next Accounting Clerk!

This position works Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm. During training and settling into the role, the position will be fully onsite; after a successful training period, your direct manager will work with you to create a hybrid schedule with some weekly work-from-home time, if you so desire.

What You Bring

• Associate's Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 1-2 years of General Ledger accounting experience (internships can count!) within a non-profit is preferred
• Experience with or exposure to purchasing and inventory
• Demonstrated ability to produce highly accurate work within accounting/finance

What You'll Do

• Performs supply ordering for multiple locations and assist with month-end inventory
• Supports the processing of purchase orders and accounts payable Invoices, prepares monthly journal entries and reconciliations
• Verifies expenses are correctly coded and charged to grants
• Handles mailed checks and cash, prepares them for deposit, and provides supporting documentation to relevant departments
• Provides clerical support for grant and prepares fiscal reports
• Attends regular grants and finance meetings
• Acts as backup for the purchasing manager
• Assists teams members with other duties as needed

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
