Control Panel Builder

Job Summary:
As a Control Panel Builder, you will assemble electrical components for industrial machine control panels. Responsibilities include complex wiring layouts, setting up testing systems, and preparing panels for shipment. You will use hand tools like screwdrivers, wire strippers, and crimpers, while maintaining a clean and organized work area. Key tasks also involve reading electrical schematics, using precision measurement tools, and operating grinders and pneumatic tools. Strong verbal communication, attention to detail, and knowledge of safety practices are essential.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Layout, wire, and read client prints and documentation.
• Build control panels using electrical schematics, drawings, and customer specifications with assistance.
• Record changes on engineering documentation.
• Work under engineering guidance on customer projects.
• Create documentation related to panel wiring and layout.
• Maintain records of final units prior to shipment.
• Log labor/project activities.
• Follow production procedures, including health and safety regulations.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Experience & Education Required:

• High school diploma/GED with 4-6 years of relevant experience, or equivalent. A technical degree is a plus.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

• Proficient in reading 2D/3D engineering blueprints and control schematics.
• Knowledge of electrical standards (NEMA, NEC, UL, IEC).
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Skilled in routing and bundling wires/cables according to standards.
• Check work for accuracy and report wiring or drawing errors for correction.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• High level of motivation and problem-solving abilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $22.00 - $31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
