Accounting/Tax Associate (Entry Level)
This position is for someone who is looking to settle into a long-term career with a full-service, multi-location CPA firm. Our firm has over 29 years of experience providing personalized accounting services to small and medium sized businesses. We are growing and looking for the right individual to grow with us. The ideal candidate for this Staff Accountant position has the capacity to wear multiple hats, learn new skills, and commit to a long-term career with the firm.

Job Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping on a monthly and quarterly basis for various clients; this includes data entry, bank reconciliation, and journal entries
- Completing sales tax returns, payroll tax returns, and payroll for various clients
- Preparing business & individual tax returns
- Communicating with clients to collect necessary paperwork and documents
- Communicating with regulatory agencies (i.e., IRS, FTB, etc.)

Requirements:
- Solid Accounting & Tax background with (minimum BA in Accounting or with equivalent experience)
- Positive attitude and a self-learner
- Outstanding work ethic and an enthusiasm to take new tasks
- Exceptional communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Work dependent, rather than time dependent
- Ability to handle multiple projects
- Team player and ability to work independently
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel & Outlook
- Working knowledge and solid experience with QuickBooks, Peachtree and other accounting softwares (preferred)

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
