Gateways Developmental Learning center is expanding to add more classrooms and children! We are looking for a dedicated and engaging Assistant Teacher to work in our new preschool classroom with children ages 3-5. Our team of preschool teachers work together to create welcoming classroom environments where children feel safe and ready to learn. Our teachers implement engaging lesson plans that develop coognitive, gross motor, fine motor, social and emotional skills. They provide structure and routine so children know what to expect and feel secure. Requirements: Must be 18 years old or older Must have a high school diploma or GED Must have or maintain enrollment in a CDA (Child Development Associate), Associate, Bachelors, or Masters in Early Childhood, Child Development, Early Childhood Special Education, Elementary Education degree or closely related field. Must maintain current certifications in CPR and First Aid Must maintain current training in Universal Precautions Must pass a 5 phase drug screen Must pass a fingerprint background check through the FBI Must have a current TB test or chest x-ray with negative results Meet continuing education requirements set by state licensing, Paths to Quality, and NAEYC Accreditation
