FullVisibility is seeking an ImageScientist towork in Quantico, VA. Candidate must possess an activeTopSecret clearance.

TheImage Scientist will apply knowledge of and experience with remotesensing principles and techniques to perform highly complex analyses,develop algorithms, and evaluate technical reports from outsidevendors for suitability to meet customer requirements. A successfulcandidate will require a strong understanding of algorithmdevelopment for the calibration, configuration, and enhancement ofHyperspectral Imaging (HSI) sensors; and be able to conduct researchin applied image processing and scientific analysis of imagery, imageformation, and associated discipline of phenomenology.

TheImage Scientist will provide imagery science support related to theexploitation of optical and spectral imagery, using innovative andemerging technologies to incorporate spectral analysis. Thesuccessful candidate will have proficiency and familiarity withtechniques, algorithms, and scientific analysis of data processingusing COTS image processing software.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret Clearance

• At least five (5 ) years of work experience in remote sensing, image processing, or related field.

• Experience developing algorithms for the calibration, configuration, and enhancement of Hyperspectral Imaging (HSI) sensors

• Ability to conduct sensor operations on small aircraft in different environments

• Experience with ENVI image processing software, and spectroscopy

• Working knowledge of applied physics, optics, higher mathematics; ability to solve complex problems and create innovative solutions

• Ability and willingness to obtain FAA Part 107 certification

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

• Good communication skills

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a high degree of self-motivation

• MS or MA in Imaging Science, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field

PreferredSkills:

• Programming skills in: IDL, Python, Java, C/C , etc.

• Ability to conduct data collections and statistical analysis; and control and diagnostic software development

• Familiarity with optical design, optical physics, and optical components

• Experience developing briefings and training materials for technical and non-technical audiences

• Experience with UAS operation and associated wireless communications

• Familiarity with sensor calibration, characterization, and radiometry
