Full Steam Staffing is now hiring for a Machine Operator position in Tracy, CA, for a highly valued client. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic production team with a competitive pay rate of $19 per hour. The position requires flexibility to work rotating schedules across 1st and 2nd shifts, with the possibility of overtime on short notice. Ideal candidates will be bilingual, have a current resume, and be ready for overtime work.

Summary

Reporting to the production manager, the machine operator tend machine and feeds lids to machine as needed in the production line (either cups or seamer) as well as identifying issues with the machinery and working with the maintenance team in solving any issues.

Essental Duties & Responsibilities

• Feed lids or cups to machine.
• Install all necessary safety guards.
• Monitor and adjust level of brine in the cans as necessary.
• Stop machine to clear any jams when necessary.
• Visual check of cans.
• Make minor repairs and adjustments if needed.
• Maintain work area clean, neat, and orderly condition.
• Meet all productivity and efficiency standards as outlined by management.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations, including active participation in the prompt identification and communication of safety hazards.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices1.
• Must be available to work overtime as needed, with or without advance notice, including weekends.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Immediately report all food safety and food quality problems to your supervisor

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree preferred.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in writen, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Excellent coordination skills and ability to prioritize things effectively.
