Finance - Central Registration
Full-time
72 hours bi-weekly
3rd Shift, includes holiday and weekend rotation
The Account Specialist/Registrar is responsible for establishing the patient visit record to begin the revenue cycle process for the hospital. This includes obtaining demographic, physician, diagnosis, and verifying active insurance coverage for the patient. Must provide exceptional customer service while abiding by all government regulations as well as collecting co-pays and/or pre-pays for services. Must always display an attitude that would create a good relationship with the patient and their families, other employees, and the general public.
Requirements
Previous registration experience desired, medical terminology required. Computer skills requirements include Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Lotus Notes, previous experience with Meditech desired. Must have the ability to multitask and work under pressure. Position includes every other weekend, and some holidays and coverage for the full time third shift Account Specialist/Registrar as needed. Training for this position will be a minimum of six weeks, first shift hours Monday through Friday.
