The IS Systems Specialist is responsible for the design, security, and maintenance of advanced computer networks and systems. Key duties include high-level planning, troubleshooting, user support and ensuring optimal performance and security. The candidate is expected to resolve Level 3 network, systems, infrastructure, and other IT-related issues.
Requirements
•Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or IS related field preferred but not required
•CCNA or higher certifications (CCNP, CCIE, and/or CISSP highly valued)
•Minimum of at least 8 years IT experience
•Extensive experience with Microsoft OS for servers & PCs, virtual environments and upgrading/migrating to Windows Server 2022
•Expertise with Cisco network equipment and Meraki wireless environments
•In-depth knowledge of Microsoft security environments
•Hands-on experience with peripheral products, VB.Net, SQL, MS-Office Suite, MS365, IBM Lotus Notes, VMware, and Visio
•Extensive knowledge in VMware vSphere, Horizon, vCenter Server management, ESXi, and UAG
•Experience with MDR, XDR, and SIEM systems
•Designing, setting up, and optimizing Meraki wireless networks
•Experience with Cisco Telephony, Cisco Jabber, and VoIP phone systems like RingCentral
•Experience in data backup storage solutions, efficient data deduplication, and scalable storage
•Knowledge of application programming and/or database development
•Knowledge of security measures, two-factor authentication, and firewall/antivirus alerts
•Managing Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams
•Experience with Meditech Expanse, PointClickCare, and healthcare applications preferred but not required
•Familiarity with Apple products (iPad/MacBook)
•Extensive experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and RADIUS in a Windows environment
•Proven experience with SonicWall and Cisco Firepower firewalls, including VPN setup and access policies
•Provide Level-3 support and liaise with vendors and IT personnel for problem resolution
•Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
•Hands-on experience with Veeam for VM and file restoration
•Experience with security cameras and surveillance systems
•Proven ability to perform network troubleshooting and isolate common network problems
•Establish and maintain network documentation and problem-solving solutions
•Implement and manage backup, data recovery, and disaster recovery practices
•Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for Microsoft 365 automation
•Help desk operations experience, including task management and problem resolution
•Conduct security audits and manage computer equipment and software maintenance
•Maintain computer networks, including servers, VPNs, switches, routers, and hardwar.
•Implement disaster recovery procedures
•Stay updated on security and networking best practices
•Comprehensive understanding of network services and protocols
•Analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues, and provide solutions
•Design, implement, and troubleshoot Wi-Fi and security infrastructure
•Manage multiple projects simultaneously and communicate technical information effectively
•Perform network maintenance and upgrades, including patches and security configurations
•Monitor system resource utilization and capacity planning
•Maximize performance by troubleshooting network issues and scheduling upgrades
•Experience in e-mail security and e-mail encryption
•Experience in remote secure access and remote endpoint management
•Knowledge in high-performance, scalable, and reliable storage solutions
