Material Handler 1st Shift Excellent Furst-to-Hire opportunity for a Material Handler to work on the 1st shift at a leading Rockford steel company.
The Material Handler position may provide some overtime with an earlier start time. The ideal candidate must be able to work mandatory overtime when needed.
Hours : 8am to 4 : 30pm (or start at 6am or 7am if OT) Pay : $16.50 Benefits when hired in : Medical, prescription, dental and vision insurance;
401(k) profit sharing Material Handler Duties :
- Operate overhead crane and mobile cranes
- Machine operation
- Move steel to staging areas manually and with a crane
- Load and unload trucks or railroad cars
Material Handler Skills :
- 1-3 years forklift experience
- Experience operating machines
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to follow directions
- Demonstrate ability to work safely and efficiently
- Must be willing to work required overtime
