Do you want a position that connects you with a purpose? The Rock River Valley Pantry is hiring a part-time Receptionist.
The RRVP is a non-profit organization that provides nutritious food to those in urgent need in the community.
The Receptionist will support the daily operations, Monday through Friday, 8 : 30am to 12 : 30pm. The Receptionist will be the face and voice that greets guests, clients, and donors when visiting our location or calling our office.
The Receptionist will earn $16.00 / hr.
The Receptionist's core duties include :
- Answer, screen and direct telephone calls. Greet guests and clients and direct to appropriate area or individual.
- Prepare bank deposits.
- Oversee and assist with the Kibble Korner Pet pantry program distribution.
- Maintain a database of monthly Volunteer hours and supports Volunteer Coordinator with volunteer replacement. Maintains & posts birthday calendar of "active" volunteers.
- Communicates need of outreach programs deliveries to Warehouse Supervisor.
- Cross-trains on office systems as needed.
- Maintains printed information for clients and volunteers in a neat and orderly manner.
- Maintains the reception area (front desk and waiting room) in a clean, professional and organized manner.
A qualified candidate should have a minimum of 3 years office experience, proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
The Receptionist must frequently lift and / or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
