LabVantage LIMS Business Analyst / Administrator
Location: St. Louis, MO
Company: Fortune 100 Food & Beverage Manufacturing
Initial term: 18 months (position expected to run longer)
Please note: We are seeking local STL candidates for this opening. The position is onsite Monday to Thursday; Fridays are remote.
We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst to support the requirements gathering and implementation of our Lab Information Management Systems (LIMS). This role involves conducting workshops, gathering information from business stakeholders, and working closely with teams to understand their roles and processes. A strong background in LabVantage LIMS and experience with software deployment in a commercial lab environment are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and customize LabVantage LIMS solutions to meet organizational needs.
- Design and implement new features and enhancements within the LabVantage platform.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform system testing and debugging to ensure the quality and reliability of LabVantage solutions.
- Collaborate with the lab data manager to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Provide training and support to end-users on LabVantage LIMS.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in LabVantage technology.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of experience in commercial LIMS system support.
- Preferred knowledge of LabVantage LIMS, including web pages, dashboards, master data configuration, testing, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of laboratory workflows and processes.
- Familiarity with databases and experience in building queries.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience troubleshooting lab user issues across various instruments and supporting applications.
- Ability to recommend best practices for out-of-the-box LabVantage functionality.
