Senior System Administrator - Cloud and Healthcare Location: Las Vegas NV
Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Administrator with extensive experience in cloud computing, specifically with AWS and Azure platforms, coupled with a deep understanding of healthcare IT systems and security protocols. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure while ensuring the security and compliance of our healthcare data systems.
Responsibilities:
Cloud Infrastructure Management:
Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure on AWS and Azure platforms.
Implement and optimize cloud services to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance.
Monitor cloud resources and performance metrics, and implement necessary optimizations.
Automate deployment, scaling, and management processes using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Security and Compliance:
Implement and maintain security best practices for cloud environments, including network security, identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and data protection.
Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for healthcare IT systems.
Troubleshooting and Support:
Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for cloud and healthcare IT systems, resolving complex issues in a timely manner.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve system outages and performance issues.
Participate in on-call rotation for critical incidents and emergencies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of [X] years of experience as a System Administrator, with a focus on cloud computing and healthcare IT systems.
Strong proficiency in cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Azure, with relevant certifications preferred (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Azure Administrator Associate).
