About The PositionWe are seeking an entry-level Transportation Engineer to join our Transportation Department in our Kennebunk, ME office. This professional will work as a member of a team on a variety of projects focusing on highway, roadway, and multi-modal design projects. This may include roadway and intersection projects (roadway alignment layouts, complete streets implementation, etc.), bridge approach projects, stormwater design, climate resiliency roadway adaptations, and bicycle/pedestrian infrastructure.
Under the direction of a Professional Engineer/Project Manager, the Transportation Engineer may be responsible for field work, concept and detailed design, and calculations among other engineering support activities. Our project engineers have a variety of opportunities to gain experience in many facets of transportation design so that they may decide the career path that best fits their aspirations.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Typically requires 0-3 years of relevant experience; internship experience will be considered
- EIT registration preferred
- Experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, InRoads/OpenRoads, and GIS preferred
