Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk/ Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and processing accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies. This role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software to maintain financial records efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all invoices for storefront-related expenses (rent, utilities, car insurance, etc.) are processed efficiently and paid on time, avoiding late fees and maintaining good relationships with vendors.
- Making bank deposits.
- Perform data entry tasks.
- Conduct account reconciliation to verify accuracy of financial data.
- Maintain the general ledger accounting system by recording all transactions accurately.
- Collaborate with the accounts receivable department to resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role is preferred.
- Familiarity with bookkeeping.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and practices.
- Proficiency in data entry and use of accounting software is essential.
- Experience with account reconciliation processes is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of general ledger accounting practices will be beneficial.
