Future Leaders Childcare is a preschool that is a faith based non-profit organization with a warm and caring atmosphere. This is a full-time position Monday – Friday with a daily 8-hours schedule between the hours of 6:30am – 6:00pm. The starting rate of pay is $20-23 per hour based on education and experience. This position onsite at our center located: 1733 Mercy Dr, Orlando, FL 32808
The Preschool Program Director plays a meaningful role in turning children's goals into reality and helping the Center become the best it can be. You'll have the opportunity to utilize your natural interpersonal and sales skills while bringing an enthusiastic energy to the staff and facility while sharing in our vision to create a world where all children, regardless of their abilities, can utilize their unique powers with confidence. We aim to provide a one-stop solution for these children and their families, facilitating success on their journeys. The Director is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and quality of education for all children within the center’s care. The goal of this position is to collaborate with staff to ensure that curriculum and classroom activities along with our specialized services (Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, ABA Therapy and the like) are properly delivered, and that the needs of the students and the goals of the center are met appropriately while we send our students off feeling academically prepared, socially confident, and personally happy. What You’ll Do:

  • A strong understanding of child development and appropriate engagement strategies.
  • Prepare weekly report for the Executive Director outlining the details of your attendance, classroom, timecards, and food program.
  • Prepare, track, and report incidents, health and safety procedures, contacts, tours, and results of enrollments.
  • Maintain school and student records up to date in accordance with established enrollment procedures and guidelines.
  • Maintain communications with parents of current and prospective students through direct conversation, newsletters, and parent handbooks.
  • Collect and assess student record information, handle enrollment application documentation, enter data into hard files and CMS (ProCare), make recommendations, and provide customer service to families as needed.
  • Be familiar with state regulations and paperwork required for the efficient running of the Center.
  • Inform the Owner/Executive Director of all parents and/or teacher complaints and conduct a thorough investigation before making a final decision.
  • Ensure prompt and efficient handling of telephone calls, messages, and visitors to the Center.
  • Ensure staff to children ratio is maintained at all times based on staff schedule and adjust immediately as needed.
  • Ensure efficient handling of bus route runs, adhering process and procedures, and routine observation of safety protocol.
  • Manage and supervise staff to support and foster a positive work culture.
  • Oversee professional development to ensure equal opportunities for staff.
  • Manage staff schedules and personal time requests to ensure compliance.
  • Assume duties of teachers as needed during their absence.
  • Perform ongoing staff performance observations and documentation to ensure consistent quality service delivery and program performance.
  • Assist Executive Director with administrative duties to include budget management, personnel record keeping, childcare management systems, tuition billing and payment, staff supervision, and daily reporting and inspection.
  • Review daily health and safety procedures and reporting to ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local governing agencies.
  • Assist with monthly lesson plan development to enhance classroom themed decorations, communication with parents, and planning of special events in support of curriculum enhancement.
  • At daily program closing time, make sure all utilities are off and all doors are locked.
  • Maintain positive relationship with regulatory agencies, community, and business partners through implementation of community outreach activities to maintain and promote positive community relationships.
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Requirements:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of direct professional experience in an early childhood setting
• Strong interpersonal and sales skills
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Cheerful, enthusiastic, and engaging in the workplace
• Demonstrate empathy and patience in difficult situations
• Ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of child development and appropriate engagement strategies.
• Must clear a full DCF Level II background check
• CPR, First Aid, and Fire Extinguisher Certification required
Educational Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field of study
• FL DCF 45 hours and CDA Required

• Willingness to obtain VPK Teacher credentials from DCF
Physical Requirements:
