Position Title: HW Pipe Machine Operator

Reports to: Production Supervisor

Unit / Division / Department / Section: Production

JOB PURPOSE: Assist the machine captain to run the machine at optimal speeds in order to meet the production schedule and quality standards.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Raw Material Usage: Ensure that the resins are correctly mixed, and the correct raw materials are available before commencement of production to make quality pipes.

Production workflow

• Inform the superior about the daily output status to ensure schedules are met.
• Report any accidents, problems, mistakes or non–conformities faced during production to the superior and update record.
• Ensure that the Machine operates efficiently to get maximum pipes output with minimal wastage.
• Coordinate with Quality Control to ensure the pipe thickness, product quality and stencil / label are meeting the design requirements.

• Comply with operational procedures and instructions when performing all job tasks and activities.

HSE

• Comply with relevant safety, quality and environmental control procedures and instructions.
• Use personal protective equipment and safety gear when performing assigned tasks.
• Keep operational areas clean and well organized to prevent incidents and accidents.
• Maintain assigned tools, equipment, and machinery in good working order.
• Report unsafe acts, incidents, or safety violations.

JOB RELEVANT INFORMATION (BOUNDARIES & DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY): The jobholder is responsible for making decisions related to their direct scope of work.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

• Required Qualifications: Technical / High School
• Preferred Experience: 2 to 3 years working as a Machine Operator on a relevant machine.

Job-Specific Skills:

• Detailed knowledge of the Pipe machine and Products.
• Knowledge of Raw Material and associated hazards, Material Safety Data, Resin mixing / dosage.
• Detailed knowledge of product specifications – dimensional and visual requirements.
• Knowledge of using measuring / tools such as Pi-Tapes. Measuring tapes, Vernier calipers.
• Knowledge of required quality standards, visual defects.
