Required Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in the state of Louisiana.
- 5-10 years of experience in plaintiff work, preferably with a focus on property damage cases.
- Plaintiff experience.
- Exceptional candidates with less than 5 years of experience will be considered if they have substantial experience in First Party Property Damage cases.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage a large caseload and meet deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
- Previous experience working with major insurance companies on property damage claims.
- Track record of successful verdicts and settlements in property damage cases.
- Represent clients in first-party property damage claims, including but not limited to, fire, water, wind, and hurricane damage.
- Manage all phases of litigation from intake through trial, including drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial preparation.
- Conduct legal research and provide legal analysis and strategy for complex property damage cases.
- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance adjusters.
- Maintain communication with clients to keep them informed about the status of their cases and address any concerns they may have.
- Work closely with experts, witnesses, and investigators to build strong cases.
- Attend court appearances, mediations, and depositions.
- Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
