Job Description
Mechanical Designer Responsibilities
- Prepare engineering calculations and documentation for schematic design, design development and construction documents
- Design plumbing systems including water, sewer, gas, vents, etc.
- Experience with various project types such as commercial, Healthcare, industrial, residential, etc.
- Perform title 24
- Implement all code requirements
- Select equipment, systems, and products related to projects
- Review and process construction administration documents
Mechanical Designer Experience
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering & P.E. License
- 2-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering and the design of building HVAC systems and plumbing.
Mechanical Designer Requirements
- Local and stable work-history
- Previous experience in design mechanical engineering
- Experience with engineering designs and schematics
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and good knowledge of energy analysis software is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Curious and open minded to learn and assume increased responsibilities
