Futurism Technologies USA, Inc is Hiring a Sales Engineer Near Syracuse, NY

Job title: Sales Engineer, Senior Sales Engineer
Job location: Syracuse, NY
Travel: Yes, but minimal (maybe once a quarter)
Work week: Monday through Friday, on-site work setting in Syracuse NY
Compensation: $52,000 to $85,000 (compensation is commensurate with your
experience)

Education / Certifications: Bachelor's degree in computer Science, electrical
engineering, or related field required (non degreed professionals are also
considered based on their design experience)
Required Experience:
5 years of experience in working with networking equipment products,
such as, Switches, Routers, Network Taps and Network Packet Brokers
5 years of experience in working with network performance monitoring
tools that derive Network Performance Metrics
Deep understanding of Data Networking protocols (Copper and Fiber Layer-
1, Layers 2-7 OSI protocols)
Deep knowledge of Network Management protocols (SNMP, TACACS,
RADIUS, SYSLOG) and API s (REST, NetConf, )
Working Knowledge with test & measurement equipment (Ixia or Spirent
traffic generators) for troubleshooting
Engage customers in a consultative manner to understand their technical
challenges
Design, sell and support solutions to customers utilizing the entire suite of
Support Sales teams with proposal generation
Including, but not limited to equipment design, Visio documentation and
technical documentation necessary during pre-sales and post sales
Clearly articulate technology value statements and network designs to
customers and Channel partners
Assist in preparing, completing, and presenting technical documentation for
the lifecycle of the products
Create and deliver focused technical product training for the sales team
Represent Datacom on customer appointments as a subject matter
technology expert specializing in network visibility products including TAPS
(both Copper and Fiber), Network Packet Brokers, NetFlow, Deep Packet
Inspection, Encryption, Network Traffic, LAN/WAN technologies and
applications, data center and associated hardware
Spearhead the Hardware and Software support renewals process and
proactively
support the sales team to increase revenue generated from post-sale
warrantees
Develop collaborative relationships via daily interaction with all functional
teams
Stay current with industry specific technology and cloud-based analytics
solutions
Handle the Support Desk. Create a Case in Salesforce and Sage, document
the issues and assign to either Hardware Engineer or Software Engineer and
complete to the Customer s satisfaction. Escalate as needed to take care of
the customers issues and communicate with Sales Representative the
resolution
Skills needed:
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build
proactive relationships over the phone and in person
A strong understanding of Network Packet Brokers and voice/data/internet
applications, communications technology, and network design. IP Routing
and Switching, IP V4/V6, MPLS, VPN, SD_WAN and NetFlow
Voice, Data Center, Cloud Solutions, Virtualization, Managed Services, UCaaS,
Solid understanding of technical terminology related to company products &
services. Requires general knowledge of network equipment.
Understanding of sales cycles and the solution selling process, preferably at
multiple levels, i.e., Internet & Enterprise. Solid presentation skills.
Strong analytical skills and able to work through complex issues with a
methodical approach. Solid ability to graphically depict solutions in a
compelling manner
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, under pressure with tight
deadlines. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Must be detail
oriented
Strong MS Office Suite skills and ability to learn internal company systems and
applications such as JIRA and CRM tools (Salesforce)
College degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field.
