Essential Duties

• Team Leadership and Management: Oversee the Accounts Payable team, ensuring efficient operations, timely processing, and accurate reporting. Provide guidance, training, and performance management to team members.
• Financial Operations: Manage day-to-day accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, vendor relations, and cash flow management. Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Tax and Audit Compliance: Maintain accurate records for state use tax and coordinate with external auditors for annual and special audits. Ensure timely and accurate 1099 reporting.
• Process Improvement: Develop and implement efficient processes for invoice coding, matching, and payment. Monitor key performance indicators and identify opportunities for process optimization.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports related to accounts payable, inventory, and travel expenses. Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7 years of experience in accounts payable, including supervisory responsibilities in the Construction Industry.
• Proven expertise in accounts payable systems and 1099 filing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership and team development skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Accounts Payable certification preferred.
