Job Summary

For those interested in selector role, then this is the perfect job for you. Your primary function of this position is to select cases and other containers of food and non-foods products to fill customer orders from multi-level rack warehouse storage systems.

Items are placed on pallets and completed orders are moved to the loading dock staging area with an electric pallet jack / forklift, wrapped, labeled, and readied for shipment in a timely manner observing all safety regulations and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process.

Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company

Job Description

• Perform a safety check on Power Jack / Forklift to be used and insure that all other safety devices are functioning properly.
• Place pallets on Forklift / Power Jack and operate along assigned multi-level racks and locate products according to order sheets or Vox Audio Communication System (where available).
• Manually place the appropriate stock items on pallet from 1st and 2nd level racks as required.
• Transport completed palletized customer order to shipping dock staging area.
• Ensure count accuracy, record counts on appropriate forms and visually inspect for damaged product.
• Hand wrap completed pallet / customer order, label and ready the order for shipment.
• Rotate date sensitive stock, keep work areas clear and clean, complete work sheets' documentation as required.
• Remove empty pallets, cardboard packing, and strapping to the proper area or receptacles.
• Inspect empty pallets for damage, stack and move pallets with Power Jack or Forklift to the proper storage area.
• Rotate between selecting orders and loading trailer as assigned.
• Perform general housekeeping duties and keep warehouse area, loading dock and trailers clear and clean as required.
• Remove batteries requiring recharging, replace with charged batteries, or attach re-charger and complete vehicle inspection checklist.
• Perform other similar duties as requested or assigned by supervisor.
• At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork
• This is a seasonal full time role

Skills Required

• Must read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations.
• Some warehouse / distribution center type experience needed.
• Electric pallet jack experience highly desirable
• Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job.
• Must participate in company orientation and training.
• Must be able to follow instructions.
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Preferred Experience with machinery equipment; electric pallet jack
• Prior warehouse experience in different environmental areas (freezer / cooler)

• This is a very physical job where most of the products are large heavy cases (30lbs -90lbs ).
• Repeated lifting all night long.
• Dry goods area, a cooler area and a freezer (-10 degrees F).
• Steel Toe / Composite toe shoes / boots required.
• Shift : Sun-Thu 5 : 30PM - 2 : 30AM
• Overtime as needed based on business needs

Pay Rate / Salary

• $17.36 per hour
