G&D Integrated is Hiring a Material Handler Near East Peoria, IL
The Material Handler position is responsible for moving material from racking to other areas of the warehouse. This person will prepare/package finished material for shipping. Daily use of a counterbalance forklift or a stand-up is required. Material Handler II will dispose of debris and empty dumpsters into the compactor as needed. This position will maintain a safe and clean workspace.
Primary Job Duties:
- Pulls material from racking, stage to proper location, load and unload material.
- Operates counterbalance forklift.
- Operates a stand-up lift.
- Utilizes an overhead crane and hoist.
- Prepares finished product for shipping (packing material for damage control).
- Proactively communicates issues and work together with Supervisor to identify process improvements
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of one year of experience in third-party logistics (3PL) environment (preferred)
- Previous experience operating power industrial truck. Minimum of one year of experience handling material (preferred). Will complete forklift training upon hire.
- Basic personal computer skills.
