Summary: The GIII Digital Team is looking for a passionate, bright, and energetic candidate to drive e-commerce acceleration with key ecomm wholesale accounts, with a particular emphasis on Amazon and Macy’s Marketplace. The Assistant Merchandiser will work closely within the e-commerce team and cross-functionally with key stakeholders and will be responsible for executing retail strategies, optimizing product presentation, and driving sales on our e-commerce platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sales teams to implement product assortment plans and execute retail strategies on Amazon, Macy’s Marketplace, etc. - this includes creating, launching, and updating product listings, managing inventory levels, and ensuring accurate product information and pricing
  • Assist in planning and executing promotional campaigns on the site, including coordinating product updates, discounts, and offers, as well as creating landing pages and banners to support campaign initiatives
  • Collaborate with relevant partners to optimize the online presentation of products to maximize conversion rates and enhance the overall customer experience
  • Regularly monitor and analyze site performance metrics, including traffic, conversion rates, and sales, while identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes that enhance the user experience and drive sales growth
  • Ability to turn data into a story to provide scheduled updates to respective teams & key stakeholders on the status of the business
  • Adhere to project management calendar and deadlines.
  • Analyze sales data on a weekly/monthly/seasonal basis to impact key KPIs
  • Proactively monitoring and resolving low or out-of-stock conditions

Mandatory Requirements

  • Minimum 1-3 years’ retail experience in e-commerce and/or merchandising
  • Excel skills a must; will need to pass basic Excel test (vlookup, pivoting, etc.)
  • Ability to critically think and resolve problems with a resilient disposition
  • Exceeds in project and time management
  • Must be flexible, work well independently, and have a team-oriented approach
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in the fashion industry is a plus
  • Knowledge of Marketplace management on e-commerce platforms including Macy’s, Amazon, and Walmart is a plus
  • Preferably worked in cross-functional organization structure
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a persuasive and assertive approach
  • Proficiency in MS Word/PowerPoint programs. Ability to create high-impact presentations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Experience working in a merchandising environment or a similar category.
  • Strategic planning and analytical skills.

The salary range for this position is $25-28/hour.
