G-NET Construction Corp. is Hiring a Construction Bookkeeper / Assistant to Controller Near Staten Island, NY
A rapidly growing construction company located in Staten Island is looking for a local Bookkeeper to assist our accounting department in all areas of general accounting.
The Bookkeeper’s job duties include working closely with our Accountant on a daily basis to ensure proper financial reporting for all transactions. Core Values to fit into our company culture: Respect / Proactive / Teamwork.Position: Building Construction Bookkeeper - Full-Time.
Responsibilities:
Prepare all invoices charging expenses to the appropriate accounts and job costs.
Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
Maintaining historical records by keeping a digital and hard copy filing system.
Paying employees by verifying expense reports and preparing expense checks.
Paying vendors by scheduling checks and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit; generally responding to all vendor enquiries regarding finance.
Preparing analyses of accounts and reconciliation of supplier’s ledger to QuickBooks.
Continuing to improve the payment process.
Experience/Knowledge:
Experience utilizing QuickBooks is desired.
