G.W. Van Keppel Co. is Hiring a Parts Specialist Near Topeka, KS

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Takes parts orders by telephone
  • Researches parts requested through effective and efficient use of Internet catalogues available through manufacturers
  • Handles retail parts transactions with customers
  • Follows procedures and processes for ordering, selling, delivering and handling parts returns
  • Promotes manufacturer's brand parts to generate the highest revenues possible
  • Learns about various machinery parts to provide the most accurate and timely service possible to customers needing parts
  • Assists Parts Manager with inventory counts and annual inventory-taking
  • Resolves customer complaints effectively, rarely resorting to complaint escalation to the Parts Manager
  • Treats customers fairly, honestly, and ethically to demonstrate our commitment to superior customer service and ethical business practices
  • Assists other employees with their daily tasks and procedures as time allows
  • Maintains a neat and organized work area
  • Communicates in a service-oriented, positive and professional manner and maintains a cool and calm demeanor at all times
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associates Degree preferred
  • Minimum 1 years of experience with parts counter sales in the construction, agricultural or automotive industries required
  • Strong electronic media search skills requires
  • 1 years of direct customer service experience required
  • Computerized technology devices and Microsoft Office software proficiency required
  • Valid commercial driver's license preferred or may be required to obtain within specified time period
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
