The Assistant Director for Campus Life is responsible for overseeing programs and services focused on the advancement of Greek Life, student leadership development and student community service and civic engagement programs. This position reports to the Director of Residential and Campus Life.
Bachelor's degree with three or more years of work-related experience.
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's degree, preferred.
KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of leadership theory.
Knowledge of student development and organization advising.
Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs.
Knowledge of issues and trends related higher education and student affairs.
SKILLS
Skill in decision making and problem solving.
Skill in oral and written communication.
Skill in multi-task and working cooperatively with others.

Supervisory Controls:
The Director of Residential and Campus Life assigns work in terms of very general instructions. The supervisor spot-checks completed work for compliance with procedures and the nature and propriety of the final results.
Complexity/Scope of Work:
The work consists of varied duties related to Greek Life and student organization advising.
This position is expected to work evenings, weekends and overnight retreats and/or trips.
The purpose of this position is to engage students in campus life. Success in this position contributes to student retention.
Supervisory and Management Responsibility:
Supervise one full-time professional staff.
Oversight of undergraduate students employed as assistants or volunteers.
