  • Develop and implement cost-effective designs, manufacturing processes, and methods in line with product specifications and quality standards
  • Recommend and implement improvements to products, production processes, methods, and controls
  • Prioritize project management, process improvement, problem resolution, and employee training
  • Conduct research, design, and development of new and sustaining manufacturing processes and tooling
  • Evaluate production flow, assembly methods, and waste elimination
  • Coordinate manufacturing launches of new/revised products, including goal setting, team training, and evaluation
  • Design, develop, test, or source tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods
  • Provide engineering solutions for field and manufacturing problems and product maintenance and improvement
  • Implement project plans, monitor progress, and maintain relationships with customers and other departments
  • Provide technical support to other departments and maintain technical specifications and tooling libraries
  • Conduct product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency enhancement
  • Represent engineering on cross-functional teams and perform related duties as assigned
  • Support manufacturing with technical assistance and site/customer visits as necessary
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Three or more years of manufacturing experience
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to mentor and lead others
  • Passion, integrity, and drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
  • Experience with composites and GD&T
  • Previous project management experience
  • Occasional physical mobility within the office or plant setting
Work Environment
  • Office setting with occasional visits to production or shipping/receiving areas
  • Sedentary tasks comprise 95% of work, with regular sitting, phone communication, and attendance at meetings
