- Develop and implement cost-effective designs, manufacturing processes, and methods in line with product specifications and quality standards
- Recommend and implement improvements to products, production processes, methods, and controls
- Prioritize project management, process improvement, problem resolution, and employee training
- Conduct research, design, and development of new and sustaining manufacturing processes and tooling
- Evaluate production flow, assembly methods, and waste elimination
- Coordinate manufacturing launches of new/revised products, including goal setting, team training, and evaluation
- Design, develop, test, or source tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods
- Provide engineering solutions for field and manufacturing problems and product maintenance and improvement
- Implement project plans, monitor progress, and maintain relationships with customers and other departments
- Provide technical support to other departments and maintain technical specifications and tooling libraries
- Conduct product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency enhancement
- Represent engineering on cross-functional teams and perform related duties as assigned
- Support manufacturing with technical assistance and site/customer visits as necessary
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Three or more years of manufacturing experience
- Proficient in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to mentor and lead others
- Passion, integrity, and drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
- Experience with composites and GD&T
- Previous project management experience
- Occasional physical mobility within the office or plant setting
- Office setting with occasional visits to production or shipping/receiving areas
- Sedentary tasks comprise 95% of work, with regular sitting, phone communication, and attendance at meetings
