Develop and implement cost-effective designs, manufacturing processes, and methods in line with product specifications and quality standards
Recommend and implement improvements to products, production processes, methods, and controls
Prioritize project management, process improvement, problem resolution, and employee training
Conduct research, design, and development of new and sustaining manufacturing processes and tooling
Evaluate production flow, assembly methods, and waste elimination
Coordinate manufacturing launches of new/revised products, including goal setting, team training, and evaluation
Design, develop, test, or source tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods
Provide engineering solutions for field and manufacturing problems and product maintenance and improvement
Implement project plans, monitor progress, and maintain relationships with customers and other departments
Provide technical support to other departments and maintain technical specifications and tooling libraries
Conduct product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency enhancement
Represent engineering on cross-functional teams and perform related duties as assigned
Support manufacturing with technical assistance and site/customer visits as necessary
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Three or more years of manufacturing experience
Proficient in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
Ability to mentor and lead others
Passion, integrity, and drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
Experience with composites and GD&T
Previous project management experience
Occasional physical mobility within the office or plant setting
Work Environment
Office setting with occasional visits to production or shipping/receiving areas
