Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced a Process Engineering Manager to lead the setup, launch, and support of a new assembly line. This role involves managing the project schedule from planning to execution, ensuring the success and quality of the assembly line and associated equipment and then supporting production on an ongoing basis after manufacturing ramp up.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Manage project resources, tasks, milestones, and track progress.
- Lead the process engineering team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and evaluation of team members.
- Collaborate with engineering functions and manufacturing operations for safe, efficient production.
- Coordinate with teams, vendors, and stakeholders for project success.
- Oversee capital equipment commissioning, production line start up, and then provide ongoing support for manufacturing.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering required.
- Experience:
- 10 years of progressive engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing and developing people is required.
- Experience leading large capital equipment installation projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to build cross-functional teams.
- Effective communication skills.
- Experience in value stream mapping, process, and material flow; MES and ERP systems is preferred.
- Experience using lean and Six Sigma tools is preferred.
