Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment; administrative and procedural regulations applicable to the county government. Ability to keep complex records and to prepare periodic reports from such records; must be computer literate in such areas as Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Graphics and Database applications; prepare documents and compose letters; maintain effective public relations and possess a working knowledge of various office software.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with Contracts and Procurement Unit with carrying out aspects of procurement activities for Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Quotes (RFQ) Request for Quotes and Qualifications (RFQQ) Invitation to Bid (ITB) and all other formal competitive processes including researching state contracts for County use.
- Maintain current information of department policies and procedures and process routine matters within established policies.
- Prepares and issues purchase orders, invitation for bids, and RFPs. Post advertisement of bids to County’s website. Send advertisements to the local and regional newspapers.
- Conduct post bid openings; facilitate bid evaluations and processing of bid and contract awards.
- Set up filing systems for contracts, correspondence, and related materials, assemble information for director’s use.
- Monitors and maintains contract files and reconciling the due dates of contracts.
- Custodian of all county issued credit cards .and responsible for the reconciliation of credit card statement.
- May be requested to represent the Director at meetings to furnish or obtain information.
- Perform special assignments, conduct research and surveys as required for Procurement projects.
- Responsible for inventory control including ordering communication devices.
- Assign property record numbers for equipment and property.
- Work with Clerks of Courts Office Records Management liaison to coordinate record storage and destruction.
- Prepares all monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, as required, and assists the auditors with the audit.
- Assist in planning, researching, developing, and maintaining research activities.
- Perform other functions as required.
