Job Summary:
As the Sports Bar Manager at Galaxy Restaurant, you will oversee the daily operations of our sports bar, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and a profitable business. This is a part-time hourly position in the hospitality/restaurant industry located in Wadsworth, Ohio. You will be responsible for managing a team of employees, creating and implementing policies and procedures, and maintaining a safe and clean environment for our guests. This position will be a mixture of day and evening shifts, with some weekends. This individual contributor role reports to the general manager.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers $18- $19 per hour and is paid biweekly. In addition, you will have access to employee discounts, training opportunities, and a dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities:
•Oversee and manage all operations within the sports bar, including but not limited to staff scheduling, inventory management, and sales tracking.
•Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional activities to increase revenue and attract customers.
•Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing and resolving any issues or concerns promptly.
•Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including food safety and alcohol serving policies.
•Train and develop new and existing staff to provide excellent customer service and uphold brand standards.
•Monitor and manage food and beverage costs to ensure profitability.
•Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and expenses and report to the general manager regularly.
•Stay updated on industry trends and competitors to inform decision-making and remain competitive.
Requirements:
•High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
•Minimum of 2 years experience in a restaurant management role, preferably in a sports bar setting.
•Strong leadership and organizational skills.
•Proven ability to manage and develop a team.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
•Knowledge of POS systems and Microsoft Office.
•Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
•Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
