Job Title: Security Supervisor

Reports To: Director of Security

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

SUMMARY:

The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing Safety Monitors including patrolling facility grounds, ensuring residents and guests are properly signed in, escorting visitors to proper destinations, conducting unit inspections, maintaining accurate documentation, and preparing incident reports when necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise Security staff on duty to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Interact with residents/guests in a friendly, courteous, and direct manner.
• Investigate and resolve issues and customer complaints.
• Circulate among residents/guests to preserve safety, and order and to protect property.
• Patrol premises to detect problems, and threats, and prevent unauthorized entry through aisles, doors, gates, and fences.
• Answer questions to help solve resident/guest issues as they arise.
• Complete written reports of incidents that may occur.
• Assist in training for Safety Staff.
• Document staff problems as necessary.
• Prepare and submit on time all necessary administrative reports including Incident Reports, etc.
• Ensure that standards are maintained at a superior level daily.
• Ensure regular patrol of the building, grounds, and parking.
• Handle emergencies when necessary.
• Handle guest/resident-related incidents as necessary.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or panhandling
• Assist staff with managing intoxicated guests.
• Other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Security Supervisor.
• Condo/Hotel experience preferred.
• Certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.

EDUCATION:

• Security Guard license required.
• Degree in Hospitality preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish (preferred).

REASONING ABILITY:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, associates, and external partners.
• Ability to work well under pressure and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
• Ability to travel throughout the facility as required to conduct safety inspections.
