Warehouse Operations Manager – full time (37-40 hours/week)

Schedule: Monday-Friday ocassional Saturday

Job description: The Warehouse Operations Manager oversees driver routes and schedules, maintenance records/database and works with warehouse staff. This position will maintain professional communication with all GCFB staff, volunteers and participating agencies. The Warehouse Operations Manager will supervise aspects of drivers and warehouse activities. Organizes food distribution, collecting and food drive events as needed. Inventory knowledge. The Warehouse Operations Manager will report to Director.

- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in business or management preferred

- Minimum of 2 years leadership/management/Inventory experience

- Interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication

- Strong organizational, administrative skills and analytical skills, attention to detail

- Strong computer proficiency – proficient in Outlook, Excel and Word

- Customer relations and inventory management

- Strong work ethic with a positive, team player attitude

- Self-motivated

- Must have reliable transportation

- Must be able to lift 10-45 pounds

- Be comfortable working in a variety of weather conditions (on occasion); comfortable working in a warehouse setting (60% of the time)

- Bilingual preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

· Warehouse management to include meeting industry and governmental standards in warehousing, food handling, and equipment maintenance utilizing OSHA standards for staff, equipment and building areas

· Provide support and training for maintaining buildings, warehouse, OSHA, USDA, Feeding America, State and local Health Department, food industry and other licensing inspections

· Maintenance of vehicles and equipment, performing minor mechanical tasks when necessary and possible, maintain preventative maintenance schedules. Update, warehouse policy and procedures as needed.

· Maintain security for the facility through security system and locking all doors and gates

· Keep logs for vehicles, pest control, and temperature current and filed properly

· Maintains driver records, schedules and routes. Delegate drivers/warehouse staff and schedules

· Training or recertifying Employee/New Hire Forklift and Pallet Jack certificates

· Maintain communication with agencies on pick up and deliveries

· Assist Inventory with the Primarius database and quarterly inventories.

· Work with volunteer coordinator to ensure volunteer workspaces are in order and projects are set up in time for volunteers

· Collaborate with departmental teams on orders for new mobile distributions/special events

· Assist in fundraising and other program activities as necessary

· Coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees

· Help maintain cleanliness of GCFB administrative building.

· Greeting and directing people who come through the front door; disseminate mail/packages that may be left at the front.

· Assist in miscellaneous tasks that come up in the course of work that pertains to GCFB

Must pass drug testing and background checks. Must have a driver's license with a clear driving history and current vehicle insurance.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
