Gameday Spirit Fanstore is looking for a motivated individual, passionate about Illinois Athletics to fill a full-time Assitant Manager role!

Gameday Spirit caters to students, parents, alumni and everyone who loves and supports the University of Illinois.
Our goal is to be THE place for fans to pick up their game day, and every day, Illinois apparel, gifts and novelties. Duties may include management functions, such as opening and closing procedures, maintaining store appearance, helping to maintain inventory levels, and some accounting responsibilities, in addition to supervisory duties.
Responsibilities and requirements
· Create a fun and energetic shopping experience with your upbeat personality.
· Recruit, train, develop and lead staff in a customer centric and service-oriented atmosphere.
· Maintain merchandising standards for presentation, display and cleanliness.
· Provide information on merchandise voids from customer feedback.
· Must be available during peak student engagement events (i.e. home football games, family weekends, orientation, etc.)
· Must be able to work either location (Neil St. or 6th & Green) on a variable schedule including mornings, weekends and evenings.

Qualifications
- Management experience in a retail setting
- Proficiency in POS systems and cash register operations
- Strong background in inventory control
- Demonstrated ability in supervising and leading a team
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Knowledge of retail sales strategies and techniques
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Experience with employee orientation and recruiting is a plus
- Fluency in multiple languages is an advantage
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week, with some overtime seasonally
