GameStop is looking for a Sr. Manager, Workforce Management & Operations Analytics to join our evolving organization.
This position sits onsite in Grapevine, Texas.
What will I do?
  • Serve as thought leader for analytics within the operations team and provide support and effective communications to the field designed to educate and raise business/financial acumen
  • Manage weekly volume and labor forecasts, including planning support for tasks, events, and general traffic in the stores
  • Assists in the development of business integration and financial models; Develop & deliver thorough, executive-level presentations on analysis
  • Identify business trends and assess their potential impact relating to labor
  • Monitor adherence to field labor budget and course correct as necessary to maintain approved EPS results
  • Act as the Store Operations business partner for the implementation and management of the GO Time system
  • Participate in a thorough review of WFM applications and assist in value assessments and selection
  • Recommend and implement alternative solutions to issues arising to business changes
  • Develop and apply methodology for determining optimal staffing levels (headcount) for all stores
  • Coordinate with Human Resources and field partners to ensure compliance with all state and federal workplace regulations
  • Consistently review current processes, define opportunities, and develop improvements
  • Conduct regular time studies to ensure that labor standards are current, and evaluate the labor impact of new procedures
  • Manage Workforce Planning team members; provide training, coaching, and corrective action as needed
  • Perform other duties or tasks as needed

What do I need?
  • 5 or more years of related experience required
  • Accredited Bachelor's degree in finance, business, mathematics or related field of study required; at least two years of additional related work experience may be considered in substitution
  • At least 3 years of experience in a multi-unit retail environment required - finance or business analysis experience preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in a retail environment required - workforce management/payroll budgeting experience preferred
  • Proficient ability to communicate effectively with others using spoken and written English
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others; conducts working relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization
  • Proficient relationship building skills, including the capacity to predict and manage behavior, build and leverage cross-functional partnerships within and outside of the organization, and leverage influential leadership
  • Proficient knowledge of Windows-based business computers and Microsoft Office programs; specifically, Excel and Outlook
  • Proficient project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities in order to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities
  • Demonstrated capacity for gathering/scrutinizing data to identify issues, opportunities, patterns, and sustainable business solutions
  • Ability to effectively coach, develop, retain, train, hire, and discipline others in order to produce a successful team
  • Consistently demonstrates a commitment to GameStop policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities
