This position is responsible for overall inventory accuracy through cycle counts, investigations and timely inventory adjustments. The overall purpose is to maintain inventory accuracy and accessibility which will allow orders to be processed efficiently and minimize picking errors and stock outs.
Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.
• Daily cycle counting
• Investigating discrepancies
• Reporting adjustments and investigations to accounting
• Monitor stock outs “on the fly” to attempt to find the product prior to shipping
• Cleaning up bins daily – Credit memo bin, transfer bin, receiving bin, negative quality bins, etc.
• Replenish inventory into picking bins consistently
• Making sure product is clearly marked so that piece count is understood at all times
• OSD’s – make sure everything is submitted as complete and accurate as possible on a daily basis. Keep track of the product location and once resolved take necessary steps to complete the process (return, destroy, receive into damage bin, etc.)
• Intercompany transfers
• RTV’s
• Various other tasks as time permits, during high volume shipping times assist with whatever is needed to ensure everything gets out the door.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Distribution experience with a specialty in inventory control in a high SKU count, pick & pack environment
• Strong system (ERP, ideally Sage) skills and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Interest in hobby gaming and toys preferred
