Gan Shalom Preschool is Hiring an Early Childhood Educator Near Berkeley, CA

Gan Shalom Preschool is currently building its team of educators for the upcoming school year.

If you are you a lifelong learner, someone who sees relationships as the foundation of our work, views children as being competent and capable, and is eager to join us in a warm Jewish environment guided by Jewish values, then we are looking for you!

Our school is a small, play-based program with 32 children ages 2-5. We are located in central Berkeley and are fortunate to have an engaging indoor-outdoor space.

We are looking for:

* One afternoon teacher who will work between 30-35 hours a week

Responsibilities include:

- must be able to be on the child's eye level or sit on the floor.

- must be able to lift 40 pounds.

- manage the classroom environment to ensure a safe and nurturing space for young children.

- communicate kindly, effectively, and respectfully with students, parents, and colleagues.

- collaborate with other educators and specialists to support children with diverse learning needs.

Our compensation is competitive, and we offer health, dental, and vision insurance! Benefits also include paid sick/vacation time, Jewish and some secular holidays.
