• Clinical Functions (may include, but not limited to):
• Taking medical histories
• Explaining treatment procedures to patients
• Preparing patients for examinations
• Assisting the physician during examinations
• Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
• Performing basic laboratory tests
• Instructing patients about medication and special diets
• Preparing and administering medications, including by intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections as directed by a physician or other
• licensed provider (e.g., a nurse practitioner or physician assistant)
• Transmitting prescription refills as directed
• Assisting in minor in office procedures such as Vasectomy
• Phlebotomy
• PRP
• Gainswave
• Administrative Functions (may include, but not limited to):
• Using computer applications (Google, Slack, Notion)
• Answering telephones
• Welcoming patients
• Updating and filing patient electronic medical records
• Scheduling appointments
• Arranging laboratory services
• Handling correspondence and billing
• Qualifications for Medical Assistant
• Certified Medical Assistant - this is REQUIRED! Do not apply otherwise.
• Must live within 30 minute drive of our Sarasota location. Do not apply otherwise.
• High school diploma or GED required
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at all times
• Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
• Firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational
• policies
• Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times
• Experience with EMR
• Strong technology skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
