Job Summary:
Salary: $90000-$100000 / year
As the Compliance Director at BEST, you will be responsible for ensuring that all security personnel are properly licensed and compliant with local, state, and federal regulations. You will oversee the licensing process, maintain accurate records, and provide guidance to ensure the company operates within legal boundaries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Licensing Management: Manage the process of obtaining and renewing security licenses for all personnel, including background checks, training certifications, and regulatory compliance.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Monitor regulatory changes and updates related to security licensing requirements and ensure the company's practices align with legal standards.
  • Documentation and Record-keeping: Maintain detailed records of all security personnel licenses, certifications, and compliance documentation to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
  • Training Oversight: Collaborate with the training department to develop and implement programs that ensure security personnel are adequately trained to meet licensing requirements.
  • Audit Preparation: Prepare for and complete internal and regulatory audits, providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with licensing regulations.
  • Policy Development: Develop and update company policies and procedures related to security licensing compliance, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and legal requirements.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, proactively addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including operations, HR, and legal, to ensure seamless integration of licensing compliance efforts across the organization.
  • Knowledge and Skill
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Thorough understanding of laws, regulations, and guidelines related to HR and contract negotiations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Physical and Mental Demands:
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk or hear and use hands to handle, or touch objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
    Working Environment:
    The position is an office-based position with frequent (75% travel) offsite visits to neighboring offices.
