Responsibilities:The ED Service Associate position encompasses many duties. This person must be able to multi task and prioritize work in a high demand work environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism. The service associate ensures a clean safe attractive environment for patients, employees and visitors to the Emergency Department. The service associate will also be responsible for transporting patients and maintaining medical equipment within the Emergency Department.

The range for the role is $20.60 - $21.22 hourly.
Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. When determining a team members compensation and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
Qualifications:Ability to read and comprehend infection practices and hazardous chemical warnings. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Must have basic computer literacy skills.
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and write English and understand oral instructions
Minimum Experience: One year experience in a medical office or professional environment with high volume. Demonstrated skills in organization and prioritization. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills, telephone etiquette, and computer literacy. Basic knowledge of data base systems to run and enter information into disinfection programs.
Required Certification/Registration:
Physical Requirements: Extensive standing and walking. Other physical movements required such as climbing, bending, and lifting. Must be able to lift weights up to 40 lbs. most of the day.
