Key Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and residential refrigeration systems
- Conduct regular maintenance and service checks on refrigeration units to ensure optimal performance
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues in refrigeration systems
- Perform system adjustments, calibrations, and modifications as needed
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and repair faults
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing their concerns
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, including time and materials used
- Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices through continuous education and training
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in refrigeration, HVAC, or a related field is preferred
- Proven experience as a HVAC/Refrigeration Service Technician or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and refrigerants
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record as outlined with our company policy.
- Must be able to pass a satisfactory background screening.
- EPA 608 certification (preferred)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 to 75 pounds; frequently lift and or move up to 100 pounds with assistance and heavy lift equipment.
- Comfortable working in various environments, including confined spaces and heights
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods and climbing up and down of ladders
- Extensive daily travel to work site locations.
- Exposure to electrical, steam, and high heat units that require extreme caution and safety equipment.
