Gary Sinise Foundation is Hiring a Corporate & Foundation Relations Assistant Manager Near Nashville, TN

POSITION SUMMARY: The Corporate and Foundation Relations Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in supporting fundraising efforts by individually securing gifts of $100,000 or less from corporations and foundations and will assist their manager in processing gifts larger than $100,000. This position assists in identifying potential partners, nurturing existing relationships, and managing the incoming donor queue to drive financial support for our mission and initiatives.

This is a remote position, the Gary Sinise Foundation will gladly accept applicants from the following states: Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Perform a variety of office administration tasks with accuracy and discretion.
  • Create documents, reports and materials as needed.
  • Facilitate task and project completion in collaboration with other departments and individuals.
  • Act as a representative of Gary Sinise Foundation with patrons and at events.
  • Adhere to all Gary Sinise Foundation policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Prospect Research and Identification:

  • Conduct research to identify corporations aligned with our mission and capable of providing gifts up to $100,000.
  • Maintain a database of potential partners and track relevant information for outreach and engagement.
  • Conduct research as requested for incoming donor requests and potential 6 and 7 figure partners identified by the Manager and/or Senior Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations.

Relationship Cultivation:

  • Support the building and maintenance of relationships with key stakeholders within target corporations and foundations.
  • Assist in engaging partners through regular communication, meetings, and stewardship activities.

Networking and Outreach:

  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance the organization's visibility.
  • Represent the organization in relevant professional associations and forums related to corporate and foundation relations.

Administrative Support:

  • Provide administrative assistance to the Corporate and Foundation Relations team, including scheduling meetings and maintaining records.
  • Aid in tracking and reporting fundraising activities, goals, and outcomes.
  • Lead the revenue tracking management process for the Corporate and Foundation Relations team.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Enthusiastic and team-oriented with a passion for supporting the organization's mission.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in business administration, nonprofit management, communications, or related field. 1-3 years sales/marketing and or pertinent job experience.

Basic understanding of corporate philanthropy, foundation giving, and fundraising principles and some experience in fundraising, preferably in a non-profit.

Computer Skills / Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, DocuSign, Salesforce and database management.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and percentages.

Language Skills: Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Ability to successfully write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information, respond to questions and professionally interact with managers, employees, clients, vendors, and the public.

Reasoning Ability: Must be able to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect pertinent data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and initiate appropriate course of action. Must effectively convey ideas, images, and goals to a diverse group of personalities.

Other Qualifications: General knowledge of computer applications for the frequent use of electronic mail, word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, graphics, etc. Must be able to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Must be detail oriented and organized with the ability to perform duties under pressure, prioritize workload, and timely meet deadlines. Must have the aptitude and ability to self-direct work and/or ask for guidance about priorities. Ability to work irregular hours and weekends. Enthusiastic and team-oriented with a passion for supporting the organization's mission.
