Gaston Real Estate Investments is Hiring a Project Manager Near Columbia, SC

Job DescriptionPROJECT MANAGER Gaston Real Estate Investment Company, a small business in downtown Columbia, is searching for a Project Manager. Our portfolio consists of ~140 residential & commercial rental units owned by the company. Mainly focused on student housing near the University of South Carolina campus.
Quick & Dirty Job Description:
  • Organize plan rehab projects on properties
  • Manage contractors and subs within budget
  • Help find new projects to work on upon completion
More info…
  • $65,000 - $80,000 total compensation (can be customized package to include benefits important to you)
  • Autonomy is a big deal here - you won't be micromanaged
  • Real estate experience is helpful, but not required
And even more...
  • The job is "on-site" daily - unfortunately, remote work isn't available
  • Majority of projects will be within 2-3 miles of Downtown Columbia
  • Company has a small team of 5 people, but this position will work directly with the owner of the company
  • Most of the job will be interviewing contractors, getting bids or quotes, and lots of time sourcing materials
Toughest part about the job:
  • Flexibility is required. "This isn't part of my job" doesn't work in this company.
Coolest part about the job:
  • We want to do fun, creative projects that bring more culture to Columbia!
Minimum requirements?
  • The kind of person that does what they say they're going to do
  • 2 years of construction-related project management experience
  • 4-year college degree
  • Willing to work "On-Site" in downtown Columbia M-F & occasional weekends
