Gateway Services CDD is Hiring a Landscape Contract Lead Near Fort Myers, FL
PURPOSE OF JOB: Under the direct supervision of the Public Works Manager, the Landscape Maintenance Lead oversees the landscape and irrigation operations, performs manual, semi-skilled, and skilled labor associated with assigned operations including, but not limited to: designee for the general maintenance of landscaping and various Public Works projects. This position is also required to work during pre and post disaster events. NOTE: THIS POSITION IS A FULL-TIME POSITION WORKING 40 HOURS PER WEEK. THE WORKING HOURS WILL VARY ACCORDING TO SEASONAL SCHEDULE CHANGES, VACATION, MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE CHANGES, AND STAFFING NEEDS. SOME OVERTIME SHOULD BE ANTICIPATED WITH THIS POSITION. Essential Job Duties
Oversees the landscape and irrigation operations for GSCDD and manages Landscape Contracts for GSCDD and Pelican Preserve GSCDD managed areas. Manages the Palm and tree trimming contract.
Acquire and maintain all necessary licenses or certification required for position.
Contract development, management and inspections of landscape and irrigation contracts.
Weekly inspections with Contractor.
Use of web-based customer service reporting system (CSR).
Respond to landscaping or irrigation customer complaints.
Assist with preparation of cost estimates, budgets, pay requests, and public information requests.
Coordinate with individual community landscape liaisons.
Training of new employees or cross-training of current staff as needed.
Provide weekly/monthly reports and photos to the Parks and Recreation Manager as requested.
Acquire and maintain all necessary licenses or certification required for position.
Ability to operates a computer as necessary to complete essential functions, to include the use of word processing, spreadsheet, desktop publishing, email, or other computer programs.
Communicates with supervisor, other divisions, employees, contractors, utility companies, vendors/suppliers, the public, outside agencies, and other individuals as needed to coordinate work activities, review status of work, exchange information, or resolve problems.
Performs other duties of this position or related positions as may become necessary or as directed by the Parks and Recreation Manager or his/her designee.
