Description
Title of Position: Assistant Controller
Location: Gateways Hospital & Mental Health Center
Exempt/Non-Exempt: Exempt
Union/ Non-Union: Non-Union
Supervisor: Chief Financial Officer
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Controller is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the Finance and Business team, including the development, interpretation, coordination, and administration of the hospitals policies on finance, medical billing, internal control, and auditing. He/she will be responsible for the financial reporting, budgeting, audits, cash flow, capital assets, bond compliance, and taxes for the hospital. The Controller is expected to account for and report on Federal, State and Local Government grants and contracts, as well as contributions and grants from private donors. The Controller is in charge of the Finance Department and Business Office.
