Job Title: Boiler Operator - Off Shift - Nights/Weekends/Holidays (3.5 days a week)
Location: Burnham, ME
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

ABOUT THE POSITION : We are currently looking for a skilled and licensed High-Pressure Boiler Operator to ensure the optimal performance of our boiler systems. The Experienced High-Pressure Boiler Operator will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and safety of high-pressure boiler systems. This role requires a thorough understanding of wood and oil high-pressure steam boilers and the ability to manage them effectively and safely.
Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain high-pressure boilers and auxiliary equipment.
  • Monitor boiler systems, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly and efficiently.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on boilers and related equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to boiler operations.
  • Maintain detailed logs and records of boiler operations, maintenance activities, and safety checks.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and perform corrective actions as necessary.
  • Work closely with maintenance team to optimize boiler performance.
  • Participate in safety training and drills to ensure preparedness for emergency situations.
  • Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Valid high-pressure boiler operator's license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating high-pressure boilers.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of high-pressure boiler systems, controls, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Preferred knowledge of wood high-pressure boiler.
  • Must be willing and able to work weekends and holidays.
Education And Certifications
  • State Licensed High-Pressure Operator

  • Must be able to stand/walk approximately 70% of a 12-hour shift.
