Collaborate across functions and manage Quality team to lead new product introduction, improvement in key quality metrics, and adherence to the Quality System.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of driving zero defect culture with reduction of Quality KPI's - Defects, QEMs, and Losses
  • Champion APQP (Advanced Planning Quality Process) into change management and NPI
  • Ownership for improvement of FTY with collaboration from Engineering counterparts
  • Problem solve and use statistical tools to identify actions for improvement.
  • Monitor improvements through control phase
  • Ownership of improving site Quality System along with compliance to the quality system
  • Manage a team of quality engineers
  • Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy formulation
  • Interpret simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services.
  • Use high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering.
  • Offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and provide recommendations.
  • Use multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/ GED with at least 6 years of Quality, Manufacturing, and/or Engineering Experience)
  • At least 5 years of Quality, Manufacturing, and/or Engineering Experience
